Shannon electrics is an independently owned and operated electrical wholesale and retail outlet with its head office in broken hill and a branch in victor harbor south australia. Shannons has operated under its current ownership for the past twenty two years.

Our hours of operation are monday to friday 7.00am to 5.00pm and saturday 7.30am to 12.00pm.

We offer an after hours service with several contact numbers available. Shannon electrics do not hold formal quality assurance accreditation but have structures in place guaranteeing the right product on time at a competitive price. Shannon electrics have had no lost time injuries in the history of its incorporation.

Our business has survived and grown over the years due to our commitment to training, keeping abreast of technology, employing qualified people and keeping stock of relevant products.

We are a member of the electrolink buying group which is made up of approximately 85 branches of independent electrical wholesalers throughout australia, enabling us to maintain a competitive price structure.

Our broken hill warehouse holds in excess of seven hundred thousand dollars worth of stock, with approximately twelve thousand line items – many relating specifically to the mining industry.

Our victor harbor branch holds in excess of three hundred and fifty thousand dollars in stock.

Shannons has held the contract for electrical supply to perilya since they began operations in broken hill in 2002 and prior to that held the vendor contract for pasminco for eight years. We understand the nature of the mining industry and the high costs associated with downtime hence our commitment to keeping relevant stock on our shelves and the greatest urgency in sourcing non stock items.
